We wanted a name that felt timeless, elegant, and full of warmth.

As we were tossing around name ideas, several people suggested we call her Bell because of my maiden name. The more we thought about it, the more we loved the connection, and before long we realized Isabella was the perfect fit. We liked the idea of giving her a longer, classic name with multiple nickname options to choose from throughout her life. Bella felt like the perfect everyday nickname while also carrying a subtle tie to the Bell family.

Her middle name, Josephine, was chosen to honor the women in Ben's family. Her Grandma Kathi's middle name is Jo, and her Aunt Kristen shares the same middle name. We loved the idea of carrying that family connection forward while choosing a name that beautifully complements Isabella.

While Isabella Josephine feels classic and timeless, we also love that Izzy-Jo is the sweetest little nickname that's just for her.
